The seizure occurred this Friday afternoon in the Dublin 3 area
A man in his late 20s has been arrested after over €6.8m of cannabis was seized during the course of a joint operation between the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue's Customs Service.
The seizure occurred this Friday afternoon in the Dublin 3 area.
During the course of the operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 343kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €6,860,000.
The man was arrested by gardaí as part of this investigation and he is currently being detained at a garda station in Dublin under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
