Seven of eight men involved in alleged false imprisonment of woman in Dublin charged

Seven of the eight males arrested in connection with the alleged false imprisonment of a woman at a property in Dublin on Thursday 26 September have now been charged.

Seven men, aged in their 20s, 30s and 50s, and a teenager were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act following the attack of a woman on Bolton Street, Dublin 7 on Thursday. 

The woman was hospitalised due to injuries sustained in the alleged attack.

Seven of the men involved are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10:30am this morning, Saturday 28 September.

The eighth man arrested remains detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
