BREAKING: Emergency services on scene of "major incident" involving overturned bus in Down
Emergency services are at the scene of a "major incident" involving a bus carrying 70 people in County Down.
On X, formerly Twitter, The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: "5 Fire Appliances & the Specialist Rescue Team are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision involving an overturned bus on the Ballyblack Road East, Newtownards."
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area while emergency services attend the scene.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) also confirmed that they are dealing with a "major incident" involving a bus at Carrowdore.
In a post on X, the NIAS have asked the public to "please only call 999 if your situation is life-threatening while we deal with this incident."
According to the NIAS, the incident is currently ongoing and an update will be given once it has more information.
