Alan Andrews and his team
Since opening last July, the team at The Old Barracks in Birdhill have received positive feedback from visitors with compliments on the relaxed atmosphere, quirky interiors, live coffee roasting and the engagement from the baristas on all things coffee.
The unique adults only coffee shop now has plans to create 10 jobs and add €2m to the local economy over the next three years.
They have been hand-roasting coffee onsite since January and opened their sophisticated and quirky coffee bar earlier this summer.
“The goal is to have at least 50 wholesale customers outside of Ireland by 2025, all serviced from our base here in Birdhill, at the centre of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, just minutes off the M7 motorway.
“The infrastructure is in place and we are ready to scale,” said Alan Andrews, who runs the premises.
