Tipperary teenager and activist Cara Darmody has spoken online about meeting one presidential hopeful at the recent Ploughing Championships this week.
At the recent event held in Laois, Cara spoke about her chance meeting with Fianna Fail Presidential candidate Jim Gavin.
The teenager said online: "Met Fianna Fail Presidential candidate Jim Gavin today at the ploughing championships and spoke to him about the Assessments of Needs national crisis.

"POSITIVES - he's clearly a kind & very intelligent man, and very likeable in person!! NEGATIVES - he didn't seem to be fully up to speed on Disability.
"In my opinion, he'll need to up his knowledge of Disability BIGTIME as 17,000 autistic children are rotting on waiting lists in the Country he aspires to be President of!!
"He needs to know EXACTLY what's going on, so let's see if he keeps his promise to contact me!!!"

Gavin, who is not a politician but a former Dublin GAA manager, recently won the internal Fianna Fáil vote to be its Presidential Election candidate.
