Clonmel's Beth Buttimer has been added to the Irish squad for the World Cup in England
Clonmel's Beth Buttimer has been called into the Ireland squad for the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England, which kicks off on Friday week, August 22.
She is the only uncapped player in the 32-person squad.

Beth joins fellow Tipperary player Aimee Leigh Costigan in the squad, which is comprised of 18 forwards and 14 backs and is captained by Edel McMahon and Sam Monaghan.
19-year-old Beth was called into the Irish Rugby Camp ahead of the Women’s Six Nations Campaign earlier this year.

The UL Bohemians/Munster player is the daughter of Fergal and Suzanne Buttimer. Fergal is the Rugby Director of Clonmel RFC and their son Henry plays with the club's Firsts team in the All-Ireland League.
Ireland begin their campaign against Japan in Franklin's Gardens, Northampton at 12 noon on Sunday August 24.
They face Spain at the same venue at the same time on the following Sunday, August 31, before taking on New Zealand at the Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium, Brighton, on Sunday, September 7 at 2.45pm.
Cashel's Denis Fogarty is part of Head Coach Scott Bemand's backroom team.
