Clonmel's David Coyne
Having completed their 18th final league campaign fixture on Easter Saturday, Clonmel Rugby Club’s Firsts team proudly reached pole position in the Energia All-Ireland League Division 2C season table by defeating Ballyclare RFC away in Antrim.
To top the league is a major national achievement for the club in itself and something they have never achieved in the club’s history since first qualifying to become a senior AIL club in April 2019 by defeating Seapoint RFC away in Dublin.
However, there was a major player that day in Dublin that played a seriously significant part in helping the first team to achieve that win and qualify Clonmel RFC to compete as a senior club; it was you, the supporter, the 16th man or woman on the touchlines cheering and supporting.
This encouragement brought out the very best in the players on the field for the full 80 minutes. What a super day and memory that was for all.
On this Saturday April 18 the Clonmel club invites every person in Clonmel town, surrounding towns, villages and townlands to come to their home ground in Ard Gaoithe to support the team in their All-Ireland semi-final against Dolphin, at 2.30.

This is a super group of young men who are 100% committed to training and playing every week, with all sorts of challenges and demands in their daily lives, be it work-related or away in third level college. They leave no stone unturned by coming to training twice every week in all sorts of weather, and their commitment and workrate is just phenomenal.
The support from you will no doubt bring out the very best in the team and hopefully they will achieve victory over Dolphin; they cannot do this without you.
