Award-winning Belle Voci choir present their annual candlelit Christmas concert at St. Joseph’s Church, Ferryhouse, Clonmel, on Thursday 21st December at 8pm.
There will be performances at the concert by guests including local singer Sean Callaghan and musician Dave Corbett.
Under the musical direction of Eamon O’Malley, the choir will perform the Irish premiere of composer and conductor Bob Chilcott’s ‘The Midnight of your Birth’ - a charming collection of five carols for upper voices and piano.
Admission to the concert is free with donations gratefully accepted on behalf of Friends of Bridgewater House and Knocklofty Rural Day Service, a local service under the auspices of Rehab which provides services for people with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The choir are grateful to Fr. Paddy Pierce for the use of St. Joseph’s Church as the concert venue and for rehearsals on Monday evenings.
Belle Voci choir were also highly commended for their participation in the Sligo Choral Festival last month. The choir are grateful to Tipperary County Council for a grant which went towards travel expenses.
