Mareto is a luxury, Doctor-led health and aesthetic clinic based in Clonmel, offering a range of extensive treatments for both face and body. It’s been a busy year for the team at Mareto. Here we take some time to get to know them and what it is that drives them and their goals for Mareto in 2023:
Muriel Cuddy CEO: "For me, it’s always been about health. I’ve worked in the health industry for over 20 years and continue to work each day to make the people I encounter both healthier, and happier. That’s why we operate a specialist weight management clinic, we offer functional nutrition, weight loss injections and laser liposuction, it’s a 360 approach to sustainable weight loss.
"Weight plays a huge role in peoples happiness and how they perceive themselves and how they are perceived by others. I wanted health and beauty to intersect as I feel that the two are strongly linked and should be for good reason. The most expensive skincare products in the world won’t help us if we don’t take care of ourselves at a basic level. By basic, I mean small things like, getting enough sleep, eating well 80% of the time, including essential fats, proteins, Omega 3 fish oils into your diet and staying hydrated etc. Getting these basic things right is the foundation of any good skincare routine.
"The key to being attractive lies mostly within you, and what you choose to do each day, everything we do, or don’t do shows up on our face and body. Stress is a big thing, and can really impact on your appearance, that’s why when we decided to create Mareto we wanted a place where people could just come and de-stress. We created an environment where you can shut the world outside and just focus on yourself, a much-needed break away from the stress’s of work and family life. I find people really open up to me when they come into the clinic, it can be for either health or aesthetics. By the time people leave, I feel we really have had the opportunity to connect with them on a deeper level and provide the education and support that they are seeking".
What I want to focus on in the new year: Increasing the health span of as many people as possible!
Charlotte Matabaro Operations: "Striving to create the best possible client experience is what drives me each day. We all know that companies who successfully implement a customer experience strategy achieve higher customer satisfaction rates, reduced customer churn and increased revenues etc. but for me it was about creating a wholly professional environment, not just for the customer, but also for the team.
"I wanted Mareto to set a standard for both clients and team members alike, by offering world class service. It’s about doing the basic things consistently well, something that you don’t really see anymore. I feel like top level customer service is becoming a thing of the past.
"At Mareto our clients are greeted at the door by a warm and welcoming smile each time, and immediately made to feel at home, we offer tea & coffee to each client, we take their coats and bags to the cloak room so that they can really feel relaxed. We also take our time, it is vital that each client receives exactly what they are looking for, be it advice, a treatment or something else.
"We offer one hour aesthetic consultations as standard, we feel very strongly that nobody should be rushed into making a decision about a medical procedure, no matter how basic the procedure may be. By taking our time, it also affords us the ability to get to know our clients and their individual preferences, we can cater to their specific needs each time. Taking our time also makes for a slower paced, relaxed work environment for the team, something we all appreciate".
What I want to focus on in the new year: Moving to a more environmentally sustainable model, eliminating energy waste, and continuous improvement.
Dr Juan Corado Aesthetic Lead: "Creating Mareto was an opportunity to present the best of what the health and aesthetic world has to offer, to demonstrate how things should be done. For me that was about offering unparalleled education to our clients. The aesthetic consultation is an extremely vital aspect of our process. It is where we come into contact with potential clients, we get to know their requirements and formulate a personalised treatment plan.
"We make sure that both the client and aesthetic practitioner are confident to begin their journey, a lot of things need to be addressed during a consultation. We must first address any fears or anxieties the client may have, we must also obtain a detailed medical and aesthetic history and really try to get a feel of what the client is looking for. We endeavour to read between the lines to gain an insight into the motivating factor behind our client’s request for a consultation. We are trained to watch out for red flags such as signs of a body dysmorphic disorder etc.
"This is something only a trained and experienced professional can see. This initial interaction dictates the tone of a the long-term relationship that is based on expertise, trust and tailored client care. When the consultation is well-executed, it allows us to go beyond a single targeted solution, to design a more wholesome, phased treatment plan that makes for long-term client engagement and satisfaction".
What I want to focus on in the new year: “Normalising subtle aesthetic tweaks and gentle facial rejuvenation”
