Showjumper Shane Breen is in great form
Shane Breen’s winning run continued today, when he won the CSI5* Special Two-Phase 1.45m class in Doha, Al Shaqab in Qatar.
Breen and Haya jumped clear in both rounds of the Special Two-Phase competition and took the victory in a time of 30.84 seconds in round two, 0.28 seconds clear of France's Kevin Staut in second, with Brazil's Francisco Jose Mesquita Musa in third.
The Tipperary man won in Sharjah last week, when his new mare, Instrumental, landed the 1.45m CSI2* Grand Prix, and he is clearly a rider full of confidence at present.
Haya is owned by Breen Equestrian and Old Lodge, and the Cashel man was delighted with the performance.
The combination will continue to compete in Doha, Al Shaqab this week and, with Breen in such sparkling form at present, it's hoped he will return to the podium over the next few days.
