Nine wins help Tipperary women qualify for Track & Field League finals

The Tipperary Women’s team who secured their place in this year’s National Track and Field Finals when coming through as winners at Morton Stadium, Santry on Sunday last.

Tipperary have secured their place in the final of the Inter County National Track and Field League, which will take place on Sunday, August 13 in Tullamore.
On Sunday last at Morton Stadium, Santry, Dublin, Tipperary secured top spot with 126 points in Round One. Tipperary edged out Louth on 119 points in second and Galway on 110 points in third.
Over the course of the meet Tipperary won nine individual events, with each winner collecting the maximum nine points each time.

Among the winners for Tipperary were Miriam Daly 400m, Katie Bergin 100m and 200m, Dymphna Ryan, 1,500m, Kaley Cozens Hammer, Emma O’Neill Triple Jump, Grace Fitzgerald Long Jump and Jade Barry, Javelin.
