Clonmel’s finest long distance runners are at a crucial stage of their 120 miles a week training schedules to have a crack at the Abbott World Marathon Major, the London Marathon, on April 21.

William Maunsell, Sean Tobin and David Mansfield are training buddies utilising the fantastic TUS Clonmel Regional Sports Hub (above), Kilsheelan Woods and Comeragh mountains as their training base.

We wish the boys well in their quest to run well under 2.20 in the marathon and acknowledge their dedication to a very tough discipline. The race will be covered live on BBC 1 and 2 from 9am on April 21.
