MENS'S GOLF
New date for Golf Classic
The new date for our Golf Classic is now May 21st to May 26th. Members are asked to advise the teams they have playing in the Classic as soon as possible to give them timely notice of the date change.

Pierce Purcell team bow out
Our Pierce Purcell team played Tipperary Golf Club in Tipperary the weekend they lined out as follows; Edmond Tobin & Sean Ryan, D J Butler & Patrick Ryan, Joe Murray & Adrian O’Dwyer, Colm Taylor & Jimmy Heffernan. The team was managed by Aidan Murphy, Pat Ryan & Michael O’Grady.
Despite a fine display against a very strong Tipperary team, we came off second best.

Midweek 9-hole
Results of the midweek 9-hole; in 1st place Seamus Hickey with 19 pts, in 2nd place Thomas O’Donovan with 16 pts. Best Gross went to Seamus Reade with 12 gross pts

LADIES GOLF
Tuesday morning scramble
Our Tuesday morning scramble was won by Ailish Hayes, Jacinta Coman and Maura Crosse.
The results of the Josie Alley medal competition were; in 1st place Michele Crowe (21.7) with 39pts. 2nd Cora Morrissey (40.4) 38pts. Gross Sheena Ryan (12.5) 23 gross pts. 4th Pauline Treacy (31.6) 37pts, 5th Rosemary Shanahan (35.7) 33 pts. The presentation of prizes will take place with Josie next Thursday May 9th in the venue at around 9pm.

Thursday rained off
Our Thursday evening golf was called off due to the rain.

Open Day today
Our Open Day is today, Wednesday May 8, the format is a fourball. This is one of our major fundraisers for the lady’s club and this year its kindly sponsored by Dairygold.
We would encourage all our ladies to participate and your support will be appreciated.

Slattery Cup
Our always popular Slattery Cup Mixed Matchplay competition for 2024 is soon underway so please enter your name on the sheet on the noticeboard if you wish to take part and the draw will take place to decide on the pairings soon.
