GREAT LIMERICK RUN

The Great Limerick Run was held on Sunday, May 5. This race hosts a 6 Mile, Half Marathon and Marathon. It was a lovely sunny day with quite some heat which would have been difficult to contend with over the half and full Marathon distances.
We had club members compete in all three races.

In the 6 Mile, which is just short of 10km we had Marian Breen 53:57, Leanne Downey 1:00:23, Sara McGlinchey 1:00:37, Niamh Hayes 1:04:12 . In the half marathon over 21km we had John Ryan 1:19:21, Tish Ryan 1:34:11, Mary Keane 1:36:13, William Keane 1:36:20, Mairead Julian 1:46:16, Pat Hayes 1:48:28, John Barry 1:52:49, Keeley Hayes 2:36:59.

In the marathon over 42km we had Tom O'Connell in a new PB of 2:51:27, Gerry O’Neill 2:57:00, Darren Allison 2:59:36, new member Wayne Bargary 3:05:17. Leanne, Sara, Niamh, Mary, William, Mairead, Pat, John Barry, Gerry and Darren all ran in the BK5K on Wednesday night as well.
