Tipperary Town’s Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe scored three tries for the Ireland Women’s Sevens rugby team in their opening two games at the Paris Olympics.
Ireland lost their first game to Great Britain by 21-12 but bounced back in fine style to thrash South Africa by 38-0.
Allan Temple-Jones’ team conclude the pool stages today, Monday with a crunch clash with leaders Australia (kick-off 1.30pm Irish time).
Australia are top of the table on six points, two clear of Britain and Ireland who both have four.
Murphy Crowe scored two tries against Great Britain, followed by another against South Africa.
