Two Carrick-on-Suir hurlers win top honours at South Tipperary GAA Awards

Swan GAA Club hurler Gavin O'Halloran received the South Senior Hurler of the Year award at the South Tipperary GAA Awards in Cahir House Hotel last Friday night.

Callum Lanigan also picked up an award for South Young Hurler of the Year. The Swan Club congratulate both players on their success.

Camogie

The Junior B camogie team's first outing of the season was a match against St. Patrick's on the Green last Saturday afternoon. The girls will begin their league campaign in the coming weeks.

The master plan fixtures have now been finalised for the coming year, with all juvenile camogie teams commencing their season in March/April.

Juvenile Scene

The Under 15A footballers played their first game on Sunday morning against Clonmel Óg on the Green but unfortunately fell short.

Their next game is next week against Fethard.

Under 13B footballers lost their first game against Cahir and play again next Saturday against Kilsheelan at 10.30am in Kilsheelan.

Meanwhile, the Under 13D footballers played their first game on The Green against Fethard but were beaten. Hard luck all.

Cygnets return to training in the Swan Hall this Wednesday night from 6.45pm to 7.15pm. All new 4-7 year old members welcome. Any new members can register on the night or contact Martina Sinnott at (087) 9784249.

The Swan Club will be marching in this year's St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday, March 16. The club hopes to have a big number of Juvenile members taking part. All are welcome.

Carrick Swan GAA Club extends condolences to the Dunne family of St. John's, Carrick-on-Suir.
