All the winners with their awards at the glittering Tipperary ceremony.
Local and national sporting heroes were honoured at the Canon Hayes National Sports Awards in Tipperary on Friday night.
The glittering occasion in the Great National Ballykisteen Hotel saw some of the biggest names in Irish sport feted.
And there was a special Volunteer award for one of the best known ‘unsung heroes’ in Tipperary soccer, Paddy Turner.
Three times All Ireland winner with Tyrone Sean Cavanagh received the Mick Doyle Golden Sporting Memory award.
The brilliant forward has been honoured many times in his career but he said it was special to travel to Munster and to receive recognition in Tipperary.
The Outstanding Achievement Award went to horsetrainer Jessica Harrington following a remarkable National Hunt Season that saw the stable superstar 'Sizing John' win three Gold Cups.
Her award was accepted by her daughter Kate who is assistant trainer to her mother.
Rowers Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll, Kate Harrington and Sean Cavanagh.
Two of the biggest names in Irish rowing, Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll won the National award for their European and world lightweight titles wins this year.
The Skibbereen pair now move to heavyweight and have their sights set on a place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Other nominees in the National Category were the All Ireland winning Dublin ladies football team and members of the Irish u-20 athletics team at the European champinships.
Tipperary intermediate ladies football team won the County award for their brilliant All Ireland final win over Tyrone and on hand to receive the award were captain Samantha Lambert from Ardfinnan and manager Shane Ronayne.

Other nominees in this category were athlete Sean Tobin and jockey Rachel Blackmore.
The winner of the Local award was rugby player Amee -Leigh Murphy Crowe who was Ireland's top try scorer at the World Women's Sevens Rugby Series.
She paid glowing tribute to her mentor Breeda Christie who coached her as a young athlete. Other nominees in this category were athlete Stuart Moloney; and the all conquering Annacarty camogie club.
A special recognition award went to the Irish team at the Para Athletics World games in London.
One of the biggest cheers of the night was reserved for legendary Clonmel Town stalwart Paddy Turner who received the Tipperary Sports Partnership Volunteer in Sport award.
MC Martin Quinn said it was correct to honour the unsung heroes behind the teams and Paddy was a shining example with the range of roles he carried out for Clonmel Town.
