Tipperary ladies footballers beat Clare to remain top of the league

Tipperary captain Samantha Lambert.

Tipperary maintained their 100% record and stay top of the league after beating Clare in Doonbeg this afternoon.

It was a absorbing contest with Tipp getting home in the end by two points, 2-12 to 3-7.

It was also an emotional win for Tipperary as it came two days after the funeral of former player Rachel Kenneally.

The Aherlow player was foremost in their minds as they put in another outstanding display that keeps them top of the table.
