Brilliant achievements in the Energia 24-hour race
The 10th promotion of the Energia 24 Hour International race took place last weekend in Belfast’s Victoria Park and the Clonmel Athletic Club had three athletes competing over the 1,652m flat route.
These athletes, Neil Proven, Noel Gillman and Mark Corcoran and their manager Pat O’Connor are seasoned campaigners over this route and terrain.
Noel Gillman ran 103 laps in 23 hours 50 minutes 3 seconds while Neil Proven also completed 103 laps in 23 hours 52 minutes 47 seconds, and Mark Corcoran covered a mere 100 miles, in 22 hours 23 minutes 46 seconds.
This was some running and some achievement. Well done to all three on their amazing endurance performances.
