Education and Careers Fair in Templemore College of Further Education

Organising Committee for Templemore College Careers Fair, Micheal Lenihan, (Deputy Principal), Nicola Welford (Co-Ordinator), Rachelle Guiry (Co-Ordinator), Noel Colleran (Principal).

Templemore College of Further Education hosted an Education and Careers Fair On March 7th 2018 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. This event provided a unique opportunity for young and mature people who were looking for Education, Training, and Employment opportunities in Tipperary and beyond.

There was a broad range of exhibitors on the day which included: Institutes of Technology, Universities, Apprenticeship and Training Providers, Security and Defense Services, Enterprise and Recruitment Agencies, Volunteering Organisation, Jobs Clubs, Disability Employability Skills Services and SUSI Grant Information.

The event was a resounding success and huge crowds were in attendance on the day. Students travelled from all over North and South Tipperary and beyond to this event.

Principal Noel Colleran said that ‘the huge turn out on the day was evidence of the need for students to find out more about their career and education options and to make an informed decision about their future. He went on to say that the role played by the PLC sector was crucial in helping these students choose the right path, “we are delighted that Templemore College provided this opportunity”.
