DVD of the "Templemore Sessions" available now

Brian and Anna Mackey of "Away with the Fairies" along with our own Willie Fogarty singing "Where have all the Flowers gone" by Pete Seeger

For over 20 years now Paul and Breid Brophy of the Temple Bar have been providing live music every Sunday night. There have been some mighty sessions over the years with many outstanding bands gracing the stage. So on August 24th last a number of them agreed to record 25 songs which were chosen by those who regularly attend the Temple on a Sunday night. The DVD was called "Templemore Sessions - the Beginning" and is a wonderful collection of songs ranging from Neil Young to Christy Moore, Leonard Cohen to the Bee Gees, Kevin Johnson to Ralph McTell. Apart from the songs we are also preserving another piece of our social history and there is no excuse nowadays, with all the technology available, for not recording our own people. Templemore and the surrounding hinterland has so much musical talent to offer so who knows who might appear on Volume 2. The DVD's are selling like hot cakes so anyone interested in one can let Paul or Breid know or alternatively call Ronan Loughnane on 087-7931721.
