A Tipperary veterinary clinic is set to be acquired by an international vet business by the end of this month.
Spa View Vet Clinic Thurles, located on Ikerrin Rd, has been operated by family ran business Spa View Veterinary Clinic, a Kilkenny practice.
The Thurles clinic has been open since 1995, providing a vital service for pets in the local area.
A proposed acquisition has now been put forward, which will see the local business overtaken by Vet Partner Practices Ireland Limited.
VetPartners Practices Ireland Limited owns and operates veterinary practices across the country, and is an indirect subsidiary of VetPartners Limited, a UK-based veterinary services provider. The wider VetPartners Group is active in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal and Switzerland.
The acquisition is set to take place on the 30th October, and has been approved by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).
