'Everyone's friend and a great character' - Community pays tribute to much-loved Thurles woman

Tributes have flooded in following the death of Helen O'Brien of Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles.

Helen sadly passed away in the care of Fennor Hill Care Facility in Urlingford on Tuesday, 17 December. 

Many have taken to express their sympathies with Helen's family online, as well share their fond memories of the Thurles woman.

On her RIP.ie notice, one person wrote: "She was everyone's friend and a great character who will be missed by all. Helen may your gentle soul RIP."
Another person shared: "Such a lovely kind warm welcoming person anytime we called to Noard, great sense of humour and always a twinkle in her eye."
Someone else kindly shared: "She was always so kind to me and we had many laughs over the years especially in Longfordpass. My condolences to her family and friends at this sad time. We will truly miss her."
Helen will be reposing at Kennedy's Funeral Home in Thurles from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, 20 December. Funeral mass will take place at 11am on Saturday morning, followed by burial in the local cemetery.
