Deputy Michael Lowry
Tipperary North TD Michael Lowry has said he is not an impediment to talks on Government formation in his role as leader of Regional Independents negotiating team.
Mr Lowry told reporters on January 10, that he is "resolute" and will "do the best we can for the people we represent".
Earlier this week Mr Lowry released a statement regarding a file An Garda Síochána had been sent to the DPP arising from findings of the Moriarty Tribunal.

Mr Lowry said he was not aware of any charges being contemplated against him over the 1996 Esat Digifone license being awarded and he is "fully confident" that there is no basis to find liability against him.
The Independent TD said: "All those involved, including myself, have steadfastly maintained that there was no wrongdoing or impropriety attached to the award of the GSM licence some 29, years ago.
"The award of the licence was made after a fully fair process, which included experienced members of the civil service and independent professional experts."
Mr Lowry also said that the State through the Chief of Solicitor's office have "consistently and vigorously" defended the award of the licence in "long drawn out speculative" civil cases taken by two of the "unsuccessful" applicants.
