On Sunday June 1, Mossy Bracken lost his sole in the Cork City Marathon but didn't lose faith!
Despite this unexpected setback, he completed the Marathon finishing 15th overall & 5th in his age.
The sole of his shoe came off near the half way point where he was on course for a 2:30 finish.

He then somehow found a shoe to borrow off someone running in size 8s for six mile or which were two size too small spotting a fellow runner he knew in the crowd wearing a shoe similar to his own and in the right size 10 after all this he eventually found his stride again and finished the race out.
A story for us all to never give up, he still ran a very good time of 2:39:30, Well done Mossy Great stuff.
Well done also to Conor Keating on completng the half narathon, finishing 9th overall in a good time of 1:17:18.
