The Moycarkey-Borris GAA Golf Classic was held last week at the Thurles Golf Club, attracting people in droves to compete.
Some big names in Irish sport took to the course over the two days, including former Manchester United and Ireland defender John O’Shea, former Kilkenny hurler Eddie Brennan, and current Tipperary goalkeeper Rhys Shelly.

The tournament was held to raise funds for the GAA club, with this year’s edition seeing a record number of teams signing up.
The competition was won-out by the MW Hire team, who finished with a total of 104.
The club extended their thanks on social media to all of the players, supporters, and sponsors for making the event what it was.
They also wished to say a big thanks to Thurles Golf Club, commenting that the course and facilities throughout the weekend were both excellent.
