Retired Tipperary jockey Rachael Blackmore may have put down the reins, but that doesn’t mean her schedule has gotten any quieter.

Just a few weeks ago, Rachael was back in the headlines alongside Paul Mescal and Tom Grennan at the All-Ireland final. The trio were interviewed by the BBC, who brought them on to give their take on the event and help viewers in the UK understand just how big a deal it is.

That wasn't the only major sporting event she’s been spotted at lately. The 36-year-old also enjoyed a day out at Wimbledon in July.

Last week, she spoke to ITV about life after racing and what she has planned for the months ahead.

"Retirement's going well. I'm enjoying it so far and I'm doing a lot of things I probably haven't been able to do for the last few years," she said.

"This week is definitely very different as I'm not heading to Ballybrit. The Oasis tickets have been purchased and I'm seeing them next month."

"I'm doing all those things you have to say no to as a jockey, like all those invites to friends' barbecues and other things. There's pluses to retirement too."

Presumably, that means she's heading back to Croke Park in August for one of the Oasis gigs. The only question is whether she’ll be turning up in a bucket hat and parka jacket in true Gallagher brothers style.
