Tipperary-based filmmaker Nicholas Ryan-Purcell has produced a documentary film, entitled 'Loughmore To The Front.'
The documentary tells the story of the parish of Loughmore Castleiney from early days to present day, and includes the GAA and The Cottage Tearooms, but also surrounding villages including Holycross, Moycarkey and Upperchurch.

The film revolves around the birth, decline, and revival of the community, and features a variety of interviews with locals, including Jean Whyte, and Tipperary All-Ireland winning hurler Bryan McGrath.
This area was of particular interest to Nicholas, as his ancestors owned land there up to the early 1700s.
A screening of the film will take place on Thursday, September 11, in The Source Arts Centre, Thurles.
The film will commence at 8pm, with admission costing €8.
Nicholas is also involved in another project, 'Voices of the Abbey' with Thurles historian Tom Gallagher.
These are video recordings of people who worked on restoring the abbey church in the 1970s.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the restoration of Holycross Abbey, locals have collected and edited a series of videos of people associated with the Abbey.

In these visual records, viewers get first-hand accounts of what the Abbey was like before, during and after the restoration, which was a national as well as a local project.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 30, at 8pm in Holycross Community Centre as they honour the people who made history happen.
There will be musical interludes on the night.
This is a free event, with a break for refreshments and a raffle.
Booking is advisable on 0504 43124.
