Infused with the rich cultural heritage of their native county but with a transatlantic flavour their music has been described as ʻfull bodied and powerfully dynamicʼ by Roots magazine.
They have successfully learned to interweave their traditional roots with contemporary elements - a captivating fusion of harp, fiddle, accordion, and tight, impressive three-part harmonies - earning them both commercial success and spectacular critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.
Produced by Maire Breathnach, they wrote and recorded their first album in 2001.
They have since gone on to record five more original studio albums, a pair of EP’s and a live album.
Their most recent album, “A Time to Grow,” is a testament to The Henry Girls' evolution as artists.
Released in January 2024, the album is a musical journey that reflects the growth and maturity of the trio.
Irish national radio station RTÉ 1 voted "A Time to Grow,” album of the Week.
The show takes place on Saturday, October 25, starting at 8pm.
Tickets cost €24.
Also taking place in the Source Arts Centre this month is a special showing of an Irish horror movie, in time for Halloween.
Joining An Cailín Ciúin and Kneecap as part of this decade’s offerings of Irish language cinema, folk horror Fréwaka follows a care worker and her mysterious patient who have more in common than it initially seems.

Haunted by a personal tragedy, home care worker Shoo (Clare Monnelly) leaves her pregnant girlfriend to care for Peig (Bríd Ní Neachtain), a cantankerous old woman who has incarcerated herself in a big house on the edge of a remote village.
Peig fears the neighbours as much as she fears na sídhe, sinister entities who she believes abducted her on her wedding night decades before.
As the two develop a deep connection, Shoo is infected by the old woman’s paranoia, rituals, and superstitions, eventually confronting the horrors of her own past.
To make this screening extra special, actor Calre Monnelly will take part in a Q&A Session following the screening, a must for all film fans.
The screening takes place on Wednesday, October 29, getting underway at 8pm.
Tickets for the screening cost €10, or €5 for film club members.
Advance tickets for all shows are available online at www.thesourceartscentre.ie, or by phone from the Box office on 0504 90204.
