Students of St. Anne's Secondary School in Tipperary Town
St. Anne’s Secondary School in Tipperary Town has welcomed students, staff, and families back for what
promises to be an exciting and inspiring year ahead. A particularly warm welcome has been
extended to the new First Year students, along with all those joining across other year
groups.
The school is proud to announce a number of significant developments that will benefit
students immediately and long into the future. Among the highlights is the official opening
of Draíocht, a new Special Class designed to support and inspire students in a dedicated
learning space.

The Science Department has also expanded, doubling in size with the arrival of outstanding
new teachers who are ready to spark curiosity and innovation in the classroom. Investment
in digital learning continues with the addition of a full trolley of laptops and one-to-one Dell
devices for 5th Year students, ensuring technology is at the heart of teaching and learning.
Further supports for students include the appointment of new Special Needs Assistants
(SNAs) and the installation of phone lockers, helping to foster focus and engagement
throughout the school day.
Commenting on the changes, Principal Jeanne Dowling and Deputy Principal ,Catherine O
Dwyer highlighted that these improvements reflect St. Anne’s commitment to providing the
best possible environment for learning, growth, and success.
Open Night – 1st October 2025
Looking ahead, St. Anne’s is inviting prospective students and their families to attend its
Open Night on Wednesday, 1st October 2025, beginning at 6.45 p.m. The evening will offer
an opportunity to meet staff, explore the facilities, and discover all that the school has to
offer.
