ALERT: Irish weather forecast for next few days has one major prediction!

Met Éireann's Irish weather forecast for the week is in and the weekend will be wet!

Wednesday: Wednesday will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with well scattered showers, the odd heavy one possible later in the afternoon.

Low cloud and drizzle will affect the east of Ulster. A little fresher than recent days in rather brisk northwest winds. Highest temperatures of 13 to 19 degrees with best values further south.

Overview: Turning mostly dry for the end of the working week with temperatures returning closer to average. Becoming wetter on Saturday.

Wednesday night: Generally cloudy and dry apart from patchy light rain and drizzle in the northeast. A few clear spells will develop in the south. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in moderate to fresh northwest winds.



Thursday: Mainly dry and cloudy with just well scattered showers. Feeling fresher with highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in moderate northerly winds.

Thursday night: Dry overnight with long clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light northwesterly winds.

Friday: Another largely dry but cloudy day with the chance of isolated light showers. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light southwest to west winds.

Saturday: Overcast and wet on Saturday with a band of rain spreading across the country from the west. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.

Outlook: Current indications suggest that it will gradually turn drier and more settled for Sunday and the start of next week.
