Forecaster Alan O'Reilly says for those asking Tropical Storm Dexter, he is likely to blow himself out in the Atlantic before getting close to Ireland.
He warned however there is a small chance that remnants of him could bring us some showers early next week.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with isolated sunny spells. Largely dry too but some patchy light rain will drift in across Connacht and Ulster for a time. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in southwesterly breezes.
Overview: Mixed overall but temperatures staying around average.

Friday Night: Quite cloudy overall with a few isolated showers, mainly in the west and northwest. Brisk westerly breezes too but some longer clear spells will develop later in the night further east. Winds will ease overnight too with lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Saturday: Another cloudy day with rain across Connacht and Ulster from early morning. The rain will gradually spread further south across the country but break up as it does so. Southwesterly breezes will ease for a time with highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees.

Saturday Night: Clear spells will develop more widely across the country but some cloud and a few lingering showers will remain across the west and north for a time. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Sunday: Cloud will push up from the southwest during the morning with a patchy rain spreading in across Connacht and Munster. Staying dry elsewhere but it will become rather overcast by evening. Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees in southwesterly breezes.

Next week: The overall situation remains very uncertain at the moment with unsettled weather likely to continue into next week but temperatures will remain around average.
