The first race goes to post at 5.20
Powerstown Park in Clonmel is all set for one of the town's social events of the year when the annual Summer Barbecue Race Evening takes place at Clonmel Races this evening.
With fine weather forecast, another bumper attendance is expected for the popular annual event.
The Best Dressed competition has returned this year and the prize is two is Coldplay concert tickets for Thursday, August 29, including an overnight in a four star Dublin hotel, kindly sponsored by Bulmers.
The runner-up will receive a voucher worth €400 from the Talbot Hotel Group.
The going is good to firm in places and the first of seven races goes to post at 5.20.
