The 2024 Munster Fleadh Cheoil is in full swing this week in Thurles as people flock to the town for the week-long music event.

It all kicked off on Sunday night and will run up until this Saturday, 20 July, with a jam-packed schedule of events planned throughout the week to ensure visitors from Tipperary, and across the country, are well entertained.

Hosted by the Tipperary County Board CCÉ, this is the third time Thurles is playing host to the Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan, after the 1968 and 1979 editions were held in the town.

The week got underway with a free event on Sunday night. “Tradult,” took place at 4pm in The County Bar, followed by a concert in The Monks Bar at 7pm.

There is a Ukrainian musical exhibition on Monday night, among other events, in the Source Arts Centre, followed by a singing session led by Tadhg Maher in The Monks Bar.
