This painting by Paddy O'Shea, Western Road, Clonmel, of a familiar Clonmel scene is featured in the South Tipp Art Group's 50th anniversary exhibition at the County Museum
To coincide with the closing on this Saturday of the South Tipp Art Group (STAG's) brilliant 50th Anniversary Exhibition in the County Museum, Clonmel, a 'Meet the Artist' event will take place from 1pm on Saturday with John Kennedy, artist and Liza Keane, florist, Moss and Mushroom, who will both give a short talk on their artwork.
After light refreshments John will conduct a drawing class until 4.30pm, which is open to the public. The cost is €5, which is payable at the Museum.
Booking is essential. E-mail museum@tipperarycoco.ie or 076-1065252.
STAG extends many thanks to Marie McMahon and the staff at the County Museum for inviting the group’s present adult artists and many former Junior Art members - who are now professionals in the art and craft industry all over the world - to submit artwork, photos and articles for this exhibition, which has been a great success.
Junior STAG will be repainting last year’s pumpkins and painting some new artwork for the Tesco roundabout on this Saturday, and members are requested to wear old clothes.
