CD launch as Part of the Beo FestivaL
A CD sponsored by Roscrea Credit Union will be launched this Thursday (August 22nd) featuring local artists performing local material called “Echoes of Roscrea” to kick-start the Annual Beo Festival. It will be launched in The White House at 8pm and all are welcome to come along and enjoy a great night out. Don’t miss it.
Cú Chulainn Hurling Skills Competition
As part of the ‘Ros Cré Beo’ festival a Hurling Skills Competition will take place in the Coláiste Phobal Sports Field (formerly CBS) on Saturday 24th August starting at 2pm for Primary Schools (under 12), 3pm for Secondary school students (under 18) and 4pm for adults. The overall winner in each category will receive the ‘Cú Chulainn Perpetual Shield’. This promises to be a fun day for all.
Family Support Group
The North Tipperary Family support Group meet every Wednesday evening from 7-9p.m in the Legion Hall, located in the Church Grounds, Abbey Street Roscrea. It is a support group for those affected by a loved one’s addiction.
They only requirement for inclusion is that there is a problem of alcohol/drug addiction with a family member or close friend.
The group is run by trained facilitators and jointly managed by NTLP & CSMT. They aim to provide a safe space where a number of people with common concern or problem can come together to share their experiences and to offer support to one another.
