Tipperary Councillor issues important update on ongoing lighting problem in Dundrum

Councillor Liam Browne has given an update regarding the ongoing issues with the street lighting in Dundrum village that have persisted for over a week now.
Cllr Browne has told those impacted by the issue that the problem was reported last week when it first arose and it was reported yet again on Monday in order to escalate the matter.
The Councillor explained the possible reasons for the delay in fixing the street lights, saying: "The way public lighting is repaired is subcontracted out from the council to a private firm, who work county wide, so they set the schedule on repairs."
He said that given the extent of the problem in the village, he has requested that the repairs are prioritised.
Cllr Browne concluded that he will provide any updates as soon as they are available.
