REVEALED: Drug driving concerns grow in Tipperary

Driving under the influence of drugs increase in Clare-Tipperary Garda Division

In a report on traffic related incidents at the most recent Joint Policing Committee meeting in Tipperary town, it was revealed that cases of driving under the influence of drugs has dramatically increased in the Clare-Tipperary Garda Division. 

Incidents of driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs have risen by 69% year to date from 13 cases this time last year to 22 cases this year. 

Conversely, incidents of driving over the legal alcohol limit have dropped 11% from 71 cases this time last year to 63 this year.
