Tipperary Town boy (12) ‘walking on air’ after landing two massive concert dates

Rockwell College student will perform with the University of Limerick Orchestra and the Galway City Orchestra.

12-year-old Rockwell College student  Daniel Ryan from Tipperary Town won the first ever High Achiever Award for sight singing in his music exams at the Limerick School of Music recently.

Daniel, the son of Michael John and Siobhan Ryan of Danny Ryan Music Shop, was awarded his gold medal at an awards ceremony in Limerick.

A boy soprano, Daniel has been chosen to sing the solo ‘Walking in the Air’ from The Snowman with the University of Limerick Orchestra in their Christmas celebration concert at the University Concert Hall on 9th December. He will also sing with the Galway City Orchestra on 16th December.
