James Owens of Wexford will be the man in the middle, a fixture he has previous history in officiating.
Owens was the referee for the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final between the tow counties, where he is often referenced for his red card given to Richie Hogan on the day.
He has plenty of experience refereeing Tipp games in recent years, and he was even called into action unexpectedly during the Munster final earlier this month after Thomas Walsh had to be replaced with cramp in extra time.
