Presenter Marty Whelan could be heard cheering as Ireland's Bambie Thug was announced as a qualifying act for the Eurovision Grand Final 2024.
Swedish presenters Malin Åkerman and Petra Mede announced the qualifiers in random order, with Ireland confirmed as the ninth act to go through to the final.
Commenting on the news as it was announced, Whelan exclaimed, "Yes! At last! Ah that's fantastic."
Bambie Thug can be seen overcome with emotion as their team crowds around them.
Ireland joined Serbia (Teya Dora - 'Ramonda'), Portugal (Iolanda - 'Grito'), Slovenia (Raiven - 'Veronika'), Ukraine (alyona alyona and Jerry Heil - 'Teresa and Maria'), Lithuania (Silvester Belt - 'Luktelk'), Finland (Windows95man - 'No Rules!'), Cyprus (Silia Kapsis - 'Liar'), Croatia (Baby Lasagna - 'Rim Tim Tagi Dim'), and Luxembourg (TALI - 'Fighter') as the chosen qualifiers from the first semi-final.
