Tipperary holds one of the top spots in latest CSO data on small and medium enterprises countrywide

REVEALED: Tipperary outshines Dublin as haven for small businesses to flourish

The experts from Baldwin Digital analysed the most recently released data from the Central Statistics Office on enterprises with under 50 employees in 26 of Ireland’s counties.

Tipperary ranked third in the list with 33,819 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) throughout the county making up 69.49% in relation to all businesses in the county.

The number of SMEs currently in Tipperary amounts 2,014 per 10,000 residents.

Each county was ranked based on the number of SMEs per 10,000 people, the percentage of SMEs in relation to all businesses, and the percentage difference in SMEs from 2019 to 2021.

The counties were given an overall score out of 100 based on these metrics and ranked from best to worst.
