A great day out was had at the Grangemockler Community Garden initiative
On Saturday last there was a celebration to mark all the hard work by members Grangemockler's Community Garden.
This is the second year of the Community Garden which was established March 2024.
Luckily the sun shone brightly as members and friends enjoyed freshly made pizzas and an array of salads and desserts in the beautiful surroundings.
Ann Jones-Grace, the co-ordinator, applied for a grant through the Climate Action Funding.
This application was successful and with the support of Tipperary County Council the garden has developed into a beautiful Community Garden.
Several raised beds have been added to the garden, as well as a polytunnel, a composting station and a pollinator friendly area.

Members involved in the garden can take home the fruits of their labour, which includes onions, lettuces, beetroot, rhubarb and tomatoes to name but a few.
Members meet every Monday during the growing season (March-October) at 2pm.
A cup of tea with a biscuit and a chat is an integral part of each session also.
