Shelbourne Park played host to the 2024 National Greyhound Racing Awards on Sunday evening, celebrating the achievements of the best and brightest in greyhound racing.
Brendan Rogers, Clonmel, was honoured with the Welfare Award for his outstanding work with GACI, the Italian Rehoming Agency.

Bockos Diamond was named Dog of the Year after an incredible 2024.
Graham and Nicky Holland, based in Golden, along with owners Graham Box, Thomas McNamara, and Bev Lochead, were present to accept the award.
They reported that Bockos Diamond is in excellent form and preparing for upcoming races, with the Juvenile next month and the English Derby as key targets.

Tuono Charlie, nominated for both Dog of the Year and Stayer of the Year, was a clear winner of the latter.
Sharon Hunt, Clonmel, Alan Brazier, and Paul Dyer were thrilled with the recognition.
They shared that Charlie has become quite the house dog, enjoying life on the couch.
