Parents Joan and Eamon Lacey accepted the award of behalf of Emma Lacey from Dr Ó Murchú
The contribution made by Emma Lacey to the promotion and teaching of traditional music was recognised by Comhaltas at the Tipperary County Fleadh.
At an awards night during the Tipperary County Fleadh held in Clonmel Emma Lacey of the Powerstown/Lisronagh branch was given a Gradam Seirohise award by Dr Labhrás Ó Murchú,Director General of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

Emma started learning music by taking tin whistle lessons with the late Nicky Shanahan at the Halfway House, organised by the Powerstown/Lisronagh branch. She went on to take first place in the u/12 flute (tutor Michael Harty) in the All-Ireland final in Tullamore and won All-Ireland medals up to senior, including two senior medals in the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Sligo in 2015.

Emma, a former Ború Brú performer, was presented with the Mícheál ÓhEidhin Medal for Distinction in traditional music by Minister Heather Humphries and was a finalist in both Bonn Oír Seán Ó Riada and the Gael Linn Siansa with Trioscar at the National Concert Hall in 2014.
