The community of Fethard in Tipperary recently celebrated a milestone birthday of one of their locals.
Fethard Daycare said "We are thrilled to honour Thelma Griffith today on reaching her 90th birthday."
Daycare Chairperson, Liam Hayes spoke about the good that Thelma does for their local daycare centre in Fethard.

“What to say about this wonderful woman. Fethard gained a hero for the elderly when Thelma settled in Fethard.
"She became our main fundraiser, organising our very successful bazaar over many years, our table quizzes and always pushing us all to do more and better for the elderly . She is the personification of what being a Christian means.
"Thelma celebrated with her fellow parishioners and Daycare family, including past and present staff. We wish her many more happy and healthy years. And we thank her for her unwavering support of our work."
