Judy Hayes has taken over as Lady Captain of County Tipperary Golf and Country Club.
Speaking at the AGM, she extended her sincere thanks and gratitude to outgoing Lady Captain Marie Graves for asking her to become her Vice-captain.
She said they had worked well together and she had learned a lot from Marie, who had set the bar high, and she hopes to build on the foundation she has created.
Judy said it is an honour and a privilege to serve as the Lady Captain, to represent the club and the members in 2026. She also looked forward to carrying on the positive work of previous Captains and would endeavour to work hard and represent the club to the best of her ability, making it an inclusive and welcoming experience for new and old members.
She said she was confident the management board would steer the club back to its former glory. She said she was very lucky to have such a dedicated, hardworking committee. She welcomed to the committee the new members, Vice-Captain Catherine Moloney and Rena Ryan.

She expressed sincere gratitude to Catherine and Seanie at the Bridge House, Golden, for providing them with a venue free of charge to enable the golf club to hold the presentations following competitions and hold committee meetings.

Captain Judy Hayes said she would like to increase participation including as many ladies as possible in competitions, at club and interclub levels.
