Boil Water Notice affecting more than 10,000 customers in Tipperary has been lifted

The Boil Water Notice was issued on July 12

Uisce Éireann and Tipperary County Council wish to notify customers supplied by the Glenary Public Water Supply that the Boil Water Notice issued on Wednesday July 12 is now lifted with immediate effect.

The notice was originally issued due to planned industrial action, arising from a dispute between the Unite Trade Union and twelve local authorities.

The notice was put in place to protect the health of approximately 10,564 customers supplied by Glenary Public Water Supply in parts of Clonmel Town centre and surrounding areas including Cashel Road, Cahir Road and Ring Road; and the Kilcomma/Finger Post areas in Co Waterford.

All consumers on the Glenary Public Water Supply can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.
