Van stolen from county Tipperary village is found partially burned out

A white Ford Transit van stolen from Cappawhite village on Monday evening has been found partially burned out in the Kilcommon area near Thurles.

Gardaí in Thurles are conducting a forensic examination of the vehicle, which was found yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

Gardaí in Tipperary Town, meanwhile, are investigating the theft of the van from Cappawhite village between 6.20pm and 8pm on Monday, August 14.

A Tipperary Garda Station spokesman appealed to anyone who saw suspicious activity in Cappawhite on Monday or has any information that may assist their investigation into the theft and subsequent burning of the van in the Kilcommon area to contact Tipperary Garda Station at (062) 80670.
