The new Cashel Fire Station at Waller's Lot
Cashel’s new €3.2m fire station at Waller's Lot will open tomorrow, Thursday, January 25, according to Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District Cathaoirleach Cllr Declan Burgess.
He described the new station as a very much welcomed project and a long waited development for the town. This new station will allow our Fire and Rescue Officers to be equipped to a higher standard.
The project that involved an investment of more than €3.2 million includes 3 bays.
"This facility will be a fantastic addition to the community and the service. I did have reservations about the location initially but this project has been ear-marked for Cashel for a very long time and it’s great to see it delivered," said Cllr Burgess.
"Cashel Fire Service personnel do trojan work for our community and often have to work in very difficult situations. I wholeheartedly support them and their efforts. I hope this enhanced facility will help the team continue to protect our community."
